Terms of Use

Last updated:

These terms explain how you may use our independent comparison website, what our editorial recommendations mean, and how third-party retailer purchases work.

1. About these terms

These Terms of Use govern your use of consumersguidance.com, operated by Mani B.V., Arnhemseweg 2, 3817 CH Amersfoort, The Netherlands. The website provides editorial product comparisons for consumers, primarily in the United States.

Please read these terms when using our site. If you disagree with them, you should stop using the site. These terms do not remove rights or protections that applicable law gives you.

2. An independent editorial website

Consumers Guidance is an independent comparison publisher. We are not Amazon, do not work for Amazon, and are not the seller, manufacturer, importer, or fulfillment provider of the products linked on our site. Affiliate relationships are described separately below.

Our guides are based on published product specifications, manufacturer information, and editorial research. We do not claim personal hands-on testing. Scores, badges, and rankings are editorial assessments, not certifications, guarantees of performance, or assurances that a product suits every reader.

Our How We Rank Products page describes the comparison approach. Consider your own needs and the exact product’s specifications before purchasing.

3. Affiliate relationships

Some links are affiliate links. We may receive a commission when you follow a qualifying link and make a purchase. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

This financial relationship does not make Consumers Guidance part of Amazon or another retailer. Read our Affiliate Disclosure for details. Retailers and affiliate programs determine their own eligibility and attribution rules.

4. Purchases are made with retailers

Buying buttons take you to a third-party website. Any purchase contract is between you and the seller identified there, not Consumers Guidance. We do not accept payment, process orders, ship products, or administer product returns.

The seller’s terms govern prices, taxes, shipping, delivery, cancellation, returns, refunds, and warranties. Check the seller’s identity, exact model, bundle contents, and final price before paying. Direct order or warranty questions to that seller.

Our terms do not change any statutory rights you have against a seller. Because no products are sold through Consumers Guidance, this website does not provide its own product checkout or product withdrawal form.

5. Product information, prices, and availability

Product specifications, bundles, availability, and prices can change. We aim to keep information useful but cannot promise that every detail is complete or current at the time you read it. Verify important details at the retailer and in the manufacturer’s instructions.

Official-store prices and promotions shown in a guide relate to the offer described and may change or be subject to conditions. A guide’s update date is not automatically a price-check date. Qualitative labels such as “Price: Expensive” are editorial descriptions, not dollar prices or verified market-wide price comparisons.

If an Amazon price is displayed through an enabled product-information integration, its accompanying timestamp and price disclaimer apply. Amazon’s price and availability at the time of purchase control. An affordability headline expresses our editorial positioning, not a guarantee that a product is the cheapest available anywhere.

A score or recommendation does not guarantee a result, saving, health benefit, or training outcome.

6. Safety and professional advice

Our content is general consumer information, not medical, veterinary, legal, financial, or individualized professional advice. Follow product instructions, age and usage restrictions, and warnings supplied by the manufacturer.

Speak to an appropriate qualified professional where a product may affect your health, an animal’s welfare, or another safety-sensitive situation. Stop use and seek appropriate help if a product causes pain, distress, or an adverse reaction. Do not rely on a comparison guide instead of emergency assistance or professional advice.

7. Permitted use and intellectual property

You may browse the site and use its information for personal, noncommercial purchasing research. Except where permission, a license, or applicable law allows otherwise, you may not reproduce substantial portions of our editorial content, republish it commercially, or present it as your own.

Consumers Guidance content and site design may be protected by copyright and other rights. Product names, trademarks, and third-party images remain the property of their respective owners; their appearance does not imply an endorsement of our website.

Do not attempt to compromise the site, bypass security, introduce harmful code, impersonate others, or collect information unlawfully. Automated access must not interfere with site operation or infringe others’ rights. Nothing in these terms restricts uses that the law expressly permits.

9. Availability and liability

We take reasonable care in publishing and operating the site, but access may be interrupted and editorial mistakes may occur. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not warrant uninterrupted access, error-free content, or suitability for a particular purpose.

To the extent legally permitted, we are not responsible for indirect losses arising from reliance on general editorial information, interruptions to the website, or the independent acts of third-party sellers. Responsibility for a product purchase rests with the parties to that purchase under applicable law.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury where exclusion is unlawful, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded. Mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains website information processing, affiliate navigation, and your rights. Visiting a retailer through one of our links does not place that retailer’s processing under our control.

11. Applicable law and disputes

These terms are governed by Dutch law, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you, including those of your country or state of residence where relevant. We do not require you to waive statutory consumer rights, accept mandatory arbitration, or give up access to a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law.

If a dispute arises, you may first write to us at the address in section 1 so we can try to resolve it. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear unresolved disputes.

12. Changes, corrections, and contact

We may revise these terms to reflect changes to the site or applicable requirements. The date at the top shows when this version was updated. Changes do not operate retroactively to remove accrued rights or replace consent where consent is legally required.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive it on future occasions.

For a question about these terms or a factual correction, write to Mani B.V., Arnhemseweg 2, 3817 CH Amersfoort, The Netherlands. Include the relevant page address and a description of the issue.
